Testudo hermanni
Hermann's Tortoise - Can be found throughout southern Europe. They can grow up to 28cm but rarely grow larger than 18cm. They can live up to 70 years. Found mainly in beech and oak forests and rocky hillsides in Europe. Prefers a warm climate. I came across this beautifully coloured tortoise doing its own thing in the Son Real area of Majorca Spain.
